ACT February 9th Predicted/Actual Scores

What could happen if everyone is seated too close to each other.? There was like 2 inches between my desk and the desks in front of me and behind me. & like maybe a foot between my desk and the desks beside me. The question at the end said was the nearest desk at least three det from you. If many people said no. What’s the worst that could happen.?

When I say fifties, I mean questions 50-60. Sorry for the ambiguities. You can see a sum up of the math answers in the OFFICIAL MATH FEBRUARY 2013 THREAD

@DrCruz95: I believe the proctor tells you that the answer to these survey questions at the end will have no effect on your score. Don’t worry about it.

I completely screwed myself over on the writing, I only had time to write 4 paragraphs. It was my first time taking it.

Math was really easy, I think I got in the mid 30s.
English was easy too, I was only uncertain on 2 questions. But with the writing, I’m pretty sure I got like maybe a 26???
Reading was reading, eh. I panic myself with the time constraints so I generally do 1-2 points lower that my English score.
Science was easy… I don’t know why everyone seemed to have so much trouble. It just seemed like logic and reading graphs. But on the last section my brain switched the frequencies for the 2 dyes, and I realized with 2 minutes left, so I had to quickly find the opposites of my original answers and redo them.
That stress left me too psyched out for my weakness, writing, and I completely flunked :(

Prediction

English-31
Math-30
Reading-35
Science-31
Composite - 32

Lucky for you writing is only used by colleges to make sure you’re not brain dead.

yea as long as you get 7 or higher on the writing, colleges won’t care too much about that score. they will mainly look at your composite score!

About the dye frequencies…was R the tall one and G the small one or the other way around? If it was the other way then I missed all of those questions.

Composite (prediction): 34

English: 34
Math: 32
Reading: 36
Science: 34

Prediction:

English: 29
Math: 31
Reading: 35
Science: 28

My thoughts in comparison to the June 2012 test…
The English was a little easier than the June test. The math was exceedingly easy until around question 50, where there were multiple questions I did not have the knowledge to answer. (I’m in algebra 2 this year.) Reading was so much easier this time; I wouldn’t be surprised if I got a 36 on it. Science was ridiculously hard in comparison to the June test. The graphs were more complex, the questions were slightly harder, and there was more information in the studies and graphs.

My June 2012 test scores:

English: 26
Math: 23
Reading: 29
Science: 31

Any internationals who took the ACT??

Which subjects do you think they will scale up/scale down?

I’m really curious to know as to what you think they will do with the Math section. I don’t think I did that well on that section. Could you also give an estimate to how much they might scale up/down?

Can I get some Reading Curve predictions?

Prolly just a standard miss one, drop a point type deal

I’m thinking I missed 3-4 on English, 1 on Math, 2-3 on reading, and 3-4 on science. Would that get me a 34?

I think yes.

I’m assuming that would be
32, 36, 33, 33

I thought English, Math, and Reading were slightly easier than average. Science, on the other hand, was definitely tougher than ususal.

I’m hoping for a 34, but I don’t know how I did really.

English was easy as usual, though there were some Rhetoric questions that threw me off a bit.

Math was super easy until questions 55-60. Things got difficult then (that one probability question!)

Reading I’ve always had problems with and after having a tutor, I thought I could raise my score significantly. I ran out of time after finishing 3 and a half of the 4 sections and had to guess on a few, but Im confident in the ones I did answer.

Science was typical. There were the usual oddballs but overall it was fine.

Predictions:
C: 33+
E: 34+
M: 35+
R: 30+
S: 33+

aww man i thought i could get 34+, but now i will be glad if i am even able to get 32. i think my performance in science and reading is going to pull my score down :(

Ah.

Hoping for a 34+. Last time (30 C, 35 E, 29 M, 30 C, 26 S) wasn’t bad at all, but I need the scholarships/money. And I need to raise M and S subscores. Actually felt really good about it this time around! Except writing…but that isn’t important to me lol. Science, imo, was ridiculously easy. I was a little time-crunched on Reading, and English and Math went well accordingly.

In conclusion, praying for a 34+ Composite. Otherwise, hello June.

Prediction:

Overall: 30

Reading: 28
Writing: 29
Math: 32
Science: 29
