For my first time taking the test, I got:
Comp: 28
English: 29
Mathematics: 26
Reading: 32 (shocking since I ran out of time and hurriedly filled in the rest of the bubbles)
Science: 25
Is this a fair score for someone who didn’t study?

Extremely (but pleasantly) surprised. All I wanted was a 30 (got a 29 in October), and I thought I’d be lucky to squeeze out a 32 eventually. I also thought my essay was awful and an 8 would be pushing it, but I guess things are different by the ACT’s standards.

Can someonee explain why TheKongo got a 36 composite for reading with 18/18 subscores when I got a 35 with the same?.. :/

Predicted (from soph year practice ACT): 35

You missed one, and the subscore curve was lenient, whereas the section curve was not.

How did you get your writing scores so early?

Predicted: 33
Actual: 33 (34M, 35S, 32R, 32E with 10 essay)

Really wanted a 34 but I am done with standardized tests.
