ACT For Brainiacs???

I am taking The ACT on June 9 and I have already done all the tests from the Real ACT Guide and all the other old Preparing For ACT booklets. I am thinking about buying the ACT for Brainiacs book as it focuses on only hard stuff. I am also thinking about getting Princeton Review: Cracking The ACT 2012. Any suggestions on books that I can use. I am willing to buy multiple books also as I really want to raise my score to at least a 30. (Right now, a 28 is my highest) Thanks for the responses in advance

You might want to try 50 top skills for a top ACT score. I like the book but, it doesn’t focus on the hard questions. If you understand EVERYTHING except for the really hard questions I would go for the ACT for Brainacs otherwise, I would chose a differerent book.

There is a math one and then there is a reading, english, and science one. Do u suggest getting both? How much does it help you?

I have the math one. I like it. My math teacher did find one mistake but, other than that it is good. And, the mistake wasen’t a big one. It said 6^4 was 64. But what it does, it gives you a pre- test with 50 questions. Then it seperates the 50 problems (which are the 50 skills) then, it gives you a easy, medium and hard question for each skill. There is a CD that comes with it but, I have not tried to use it yet. But, if you are looking for a book that covers the HARD stuff I would not pick this one. It is great for everything else. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

but i thought the Brainiacs one is supposed to cover the really hard stuff? That’s what I have read on it. thanks for the reply by the way.

Yes, it is. That’s what I met I guess you didn’t see it the way I had intended. I you want a book for the hard stuff, 50 top skills for a top ACT score would not be a good pick. It does have hard problems but, doesn’t go into depth. You should try the Brainiacs book for the hard stuff. I have also heard that it is good for that.
