Hi, I received my score yesterday in the mail. Unfortunately, I received a composite score of 24 :/ all sub scores were always 24. I wasn't expecting it to be that low. I studied using the Princeton review 2013 and from the practice test I was getting in the high 20s and low 30s. I don't want to make excuses or anything but I only slept for 4 hours the day before. Can anyone suggest anything I can do to cement my score in the 30s?

A 24 is not a bad score. I understand that you were hoping for a higher score and might be disappointed, but your score is well above average.

You really need to analyze where your problems are. If you are doing significantly better on practice tests, it may just be nerves and stress that seem to affect you. I don’t know for sure – but you need to figure that out.

Sometimes progress is not a consistent upward trend. It may pay off the next time you take the ACT.

Thank you! I also think that’s the problem. I bought the barron books and plan on taking it in june, hopefully my score will be in the mid 30s

I am sorry to say that 24 is above average but not very well above average. However, you can definitely improve from there. It is very possible to get 4-5 points higher after sufficient practice.
