Hey everyone, I'm fairly new to CC and had a few questions about the upcoming and future ACT tests.
I took the ACT in February and got a 29 composite. I really need to increase this to a 30 and was wondering what I should do? I've done 2 barrons practice ACTs, but I keep getting a 28. I have the red book and I usually can get around a 30-32 in there. Thank you all for all the help in advance!

Just do more practice tests (preferably from different sources too). What are your break down scores? A composite of 29 could be actually 28.5 to 29.25 in average section scores. If your practice scores fluctuate a lot, it usually means you have not practiced enough.

I got a 33 in English, 28 in Math, 26 in Reading, and 30 in science. I’ve improved in math at least 2-3 points for certain. I’ve received a 28 on the mathematics portion of the Barron’s practice tests twice and supposedly, it’s harder than the actual ACT. Science was just luck, not sure how else to prepare for that. Reading I feel more confident about and English I feel about the same.

You are already at 29.25, so you just need to do some more practice plus some luck to get over 30. As you said, science is the tricky and unpredictable part. Doing more practice would still help though.
