I'm a homeschooled student.

What if I have done ACT instead of SAT? Should I still sit for SAT subject tests? Will they (SAT subject tests) favor me in regard of my selection at a top-notch school?

Yes you should take the subject tests. If you don’t score well you won’t have to report the scores since you are submitting the ACT (some schools require 2 subject tests when you submit an SAT 1). If you score well, the subject tests will provide additional insight to your home schooled academic record. IMO you have nothing to lose other than the cost of the tests.

You can still take the SAT subject tests. In fact, many programs will require them, even if you only take the ACT.

@LisaCF Thanks a lot : )

Few programs require subject tests. Take them if you want to apply to one of those schools, or if you just really want to. Otherwise it’s not necessary.
