ACT math composite???

So it was my first time taking the ACT on April 22nd so I just got my report back today!

Please bear with me cuz I basically have no idea how ACT works (i'm an SAT person hahaha)

On the "understanding your score" packet thing it said that each subsection was like...out of 18, and then made into a sub-composite out of 36 and then averaged for a composite out of 36.

For math, I had:
Pre-Algebra/Elem. Algebra 18
Algebra/Coord. Geometry 18
Plane Geometry/Trig. 18
But ended up with a sub-composite of 35????
Since I got 18/18 for each section shouldn't my math score be 36??
or is that impossible?

Just wondering, because my other scores were 35, 36, and 35 (composite=35 blehhh)

thanks guys =)
ps sorry if this has been posted before, i have like nooooo time to check!
