ACT October 2016 Missbubbling?!

Something really bad happened. When I was taking the Reading test, I noticed at the end that I was filling in the answers, that I was filling it in the Science section. I told the proctor right away and she gave me a brand new answer booklet for the Science Section. I did the Science section in the new booklet and well as the essay. After everyone had left the test room, the proctor stood next to me and allowed me to copy my English, Math, and mistaken Reading answers onto the new test booklet where I completed Science and the essay. She told me that she would send this booklet to the ACT for scoring, and the old mistaken one as an irregularity report. She told me not to worry and that my scores won’t be delayed.

Yet, I am still very, very scared that my scores might be canceled because I was given time to fix my bubbles and the fact that she filed an irregularity report. Will my scores be cancelled or delayed? I need this scores to send to my university Early Action as soon as possible, so if my scores will be delayed or actually cancelled, it would be the end to m.e

I don’t think your scores will be cancelled as long as you didn’t change any of your answer choices on the English, Math, and Reading when you copied them into the new booklet. They might be a little delayed because ACT might want to compare the two booklets to make sure the answers match, but it shouldn’t be too big of a deal…especially if the proctor said everything will be fine. Hope it all works out for you!

Thank you! Let’s hope that they won’t be delayed long or canceled. I read over the proctor instructions on a PDF on the ACT website, and everything should be fine.
