ACT or SAT? I don't know which scores to send.

I took October ACT +writing. (C:35, M:36, S:35, R:34, E:34, W:35)
The highest SAT is 2270(CR:690, M:800, W:780) and superscore is 2290 (CR:690, M:800, W:800).
I am not so sure whether to send SAT, because of my low CR score.

+)I sent my ACT score report just today (because it was released today) to Princeton Admissions Office, would they still consider ACT score as part of evaluation?

bump, please should I send both scores when I apply for RD?

A good reason to send both - I see a lot of posts in the Parents Forum where SAT scores aren’t being sent in on time via the College Board, and through no fault of the students. By sending in both scores, you have a better chance of at least one getting there in time for the RD deadline.

My son applied to Princeton SCEA and he’ll be sending in both. He only had one shot to take each test and his Nov. SAT score wouldn’t have arrived on time, so the ACTw/Writing (plus 3 SAT Subject tests) were what they got. His ACT score was slightly lower than yours and he was asked for an interview right away. (His SAT score won’t come out till later this month, so we have no idea what that will be.)

HTH and good luck.

ACT, though your SAT is still fantastic.

I would send only the ACT. The 35 is slightly higher than your 2270, and your CR is the weakest part of the SAT (if you strip out the W, your SAT looks a little worse than your ACT). Congratulations on great scores!

Does the school require that you send all scores?

I would go the other way on this one. If both your ACT and SAT are substantially higher than a college’s average (25-75%), then I would go ahead and report both tests since your test results will pull up their average (even if your ACT may be considered to be slightly higher, percentage-wise). In short, I would not expect that any college would be turned off by your SAT since it is also (percentage-wise) an outstanding score.

Both are great, you can send both. Congrats on great scores.
