Send 35 ACT or 2280 SAT (or both)?

Hi! So here's my SAT superscore:

2280:
760 CR
780 M
730 W

Here's my ACT score- I haven't found out my writing score yet.

35 English
36 Math
35 Reading
35 Science

Which do I send? I am applying to Duke ED if that is of any significance.

Depends on how many times you took SAT to get that superscore. What is your highest during a single sitting?

I took the SAT 3 times, but my superscore consists of two times. The highest single sitting was a 2250

35 Act is better.

Whatever. Duke will not deny you for either score.

Send both. ACT is marginally better, but overall shows impressive consistency across different testing platforms. There is no harm to sending both, they’ll use the best.

^^I hate to disagree with a “Super Moderator”, but I think the advice from @Erin’sDad is misleading (although accurate). Correct, Duke will not deny you for either score. However, 35 is better than 2280 and the difference could be the difference in whether you get accepted or not. There’s no reason to do anything other than put your best foot forward - send the ACT score.

No offense, but I doubt your attitude is “whatever” when it comes to presenting yourself in the best light for something important to you.

Ok I will send the ACT score. Thank you for your help!

I agree, send only the ACT score. The only reason to send SAT scores would be if you also have some very high SAT Subject Test scores. Even then, this is a really good ACT score.

If they do not require all score, your ACT is great and can save you money by not submitting the SAT score. If you want to submit SAT2 score anyway, just include the SAT1 as well. CR+M at 1550 is as good as ACT 35.
