act or sat scores :which are better

ACT: 33 composite, 34 english, 31 math, 32 reading, 35 science, 23 writing

(new) SAT: 1430 total, 690 reading, 740 math, writing is a 7/4/7

I would go with the ACT, personally. But both of them are fine scores. You’ll do great in your college process :slight_smile:

ACT score is 99th percentile, SAT is 97th. ACT is the better choice.

but what about colleges that look at writing scores? my ACT writing isn’t good, and my SAT isn’t much better…thoughts?

Very few schools require Writing/Essay score.
