Hey everybody. I am stuck at a cross roads. I was going to take the ACT in Dec. but I just realized that is the same week as my finals. I am in post secondary so they are college finals that count towards my college GPA. I dont know if I should spend the time studying for both the ACT and all 5 exams or just focus on my classes. Im afraid that I will have too much going through my head during the ACT and not be able to focus.

I got a 29 in September which I know I can improve because I thought that test was a lot harder than any of the others I have taken.

What do you guys think? Would it be better for me to try and take it after the dec. date for scholarship purposes or just stick with my 29?

If I had to pick one, I would study for exams. ACT is only a high school test, you’d rather spend the majority of your time studying for the exams, right?

Of course, the optimal case is if you can study for all exams/ACT without negatively affecting one or the other.

Yeah I was kinda torn. I still want to take the ACT again cuz a 29 is alright. Im also not really good at taking tests where I have little time to think.

But last year I had a 4.0 GPA when I was enrolled in all college classes (well 14 credits because thats the max). They were easy classes like english, physics, calculus, sociology, psychology, and all of that stuff.

The schools I was looking at were not really “top teir” schools anyways. Places like Ohio state, University of Utah, UCLA. Mostly public schools that are very good but not like Harvard and other Ivys and Ivy like schools.
