ACT Oracle Error HELP!

@lolgotrekt Actually, the other person who was overly disgruntled was not a student but a parent. Maybe I unfairly read a lot more anger into their posts and into your posts than what was intended. If that is the case, my apologies. Also, I’ll let decide for yourself over the next few decades if there are very many “grown up” people that fall into the “mature adult” category. Again, congratulations on a great score.

@Redbounds: well, if they have used this language for 3 years, it does not mean that it is not incorrect. Yes, I am being picky here, but telling people who took writing test that they did not take it is incorrect.

And better fast food analogy will be that you are told that your food is ready, you pick it up, and then notice that something is missing. They could have very well not sent out e-mails saying that scores are now available till this afternoon, as opposed to sending them out earlier and then having incomplete results.

@Redhounds thanks. And LMAO at “Also, I’ll let decide for yourself over the next few decades if there are very many “grown up” people that fall into the “mature adult” category.”

Yes, everyone knows

@osuprof I just looked at my son’s account and in the writing column it shows “not yet available,” which is correct. In the ELA column it says “not yet available,” which is also correct. In the column to the right of the results, which is the “Does your score meet the ACT College Readiness Benchmark” column, the ELA sections says “you did not take the writing test, so an ELA score is not available,” which is definitely not correct. I agree that it should not say that. I will also have to admit that I never paid any attention to the “ACT College Readiness Benchmark” column.

@osuprof or anyone else who knows: Did people get emails saying that their scores were ready this morning? My son didn’t get one yet because he took the writing so I honestly am curious if some people were told that they were ready even though they didn’t display correctly yet. If they DID send out emails to people who took the writing saying that the scores were completely ready, then I agree with your analogy and am surprised that they would do that when every other mention of scores on the site and in the results says that the writing scores will take longer than the composite scores.

Well these have been 15 very eventful hours. Thanks for all of your comments and for sharing your concerns! I’m glad we got this fixed. Congrats on all of your incredible scores :)))

After all of this delay on the science score, did anyone receive an unusually low science score? We are here in Chicago and know of several students who received an incredibly low science score and are asking that the test be rescored.
