Hi I'm a confused student. I dont really have that much time to do both, but I am better at the ACT. I know if work hard i can get a 35 or a 36. Would it hurt me if I only send my ACT score in at schools like Duke, UPENN, or UChicago?

ACT only is fine. Even if you took the SAT and got it’s equivalent to what you get on the ACT it would not help you.

ACT would be good, especially for UChicago because it is pretty much expected that Illinois high school students take it.

I don’t know about Duke and UPENN, but you could check out their websites on the admission pages.

Good luck!

ACT’s and SAT’s are pretty much the same thing. Just pick one of them and go with it.

I too am a student who favors the ACT. I have decided to skip out at taking the SAT Reasoning Test and have only taken SAT Subject Tests and the ACT. Hopefully, everything will work out. The only downside is you’ll never know if you would have performed better on one test or the other unless you try both. But I am willing to take the chance.
