Alright, finished the SAT, now onto this. From what I've heard the ACT is more achievement based, so studying and practicing should help. What I really need to nail is the timing for all the sections, as I'm really attuned to the SAT timing.

Can you guys recommend any prep books, is there something for the ACT like the coveted blue book for the SAT?

Once you've done review material, it's important to practice timings by taking real exams (vs. imitations). Try Amazon, search term "ACT Assessment."

Get The Real ACT prep guide. It contains 3 tests and costs less than "testwrtr911"'s individual ACT exam. Besides, at least one of those exams is in The Real ACT Prep Guide. The Real Guide has ACTs, that I think are from June 03, 04, and 05. Could be wrong, it may be 02,03, and 04.

I used the "Cracking the ACT" book from the Princeton Review and did really well, despite only studying for a few days before the test. My first practice test I got a 27 or so on science, and after reading over it for a day or 2, I ended up getting a 33 on the science section. I think that section was the only one really beneficial to me. With the other 3 sections, I think its just being familiar with the types of problems would be enough.

Thanks for all your help, the real act tests that testwrtr suggest cost around 25.00 a test + shipping, and they're from individual sellers, I'm not sure if I'm willing to pay that much for someone I'm not even sure I'll recieve.

On 01-19-07 - ***120 - "I have found a few on Amazon. Search term "ACT Assessment" - 2nd or 3rd and 4th pages of results. And, "Preparing for the ACT Assessment."

Compare this to the 02-03-07 9:39 post in this thread.

I am sure that this is a coincidence. Why am I doing CC admin's job?

I am suggesting more than that. If I had access to the IP list, I believe there would be evidence suggesting that two posters on this thread are actually one person, and the multiple poster is also at least linked to, if not the actual seller of those exams.

I hope I am wrong, but the language and directions are just a little too similar to be coincidental. Dont take my word for it; do your own research. Search the other posts of the posters in this thread, and maybe you will agree, maybe not.
