ACT Reading/English questions for FEB TEST!

I also put compliant for the professional question, mhh

when they said they were silenced

it meant they were subdued and powerless right

that's what I put.

yeppity yep

OMG I thought the reading section was difficult! What was the priest's reaction to seeing the ship? and what was the purpose of building the ship, I think I put self enjoyment or something like that.

I put the priest reaction was curious and blah... sorry can't remember. But I did have self-enjoyment as an answer, although there has been some disagreements on that one

Amazingly this reading section I actually finished on time. Times before I aways couldnt finish/start the 4th passage. The mountain one was definetly the most confusing one of the 4

I thought the mountain was easy and the ship/priest was medium/hard.

I put curious and awe for one of the priest ones. I also put self enjoyment as the reason the guy is building it.

I'm pretty sure on those.

anyone know if a 34 is considered "worse" than a 1480 sat?

[/quote]

And that's not counting our chickens before they hatch or anything. :)

But don't worry. I looked it up on the conversion thing and it showed 34 = ~2260 on the SAT. You could argue that the SAT carries more weight for east/west coast schools, but if we really believed that, we probably wouldn't be debating ACT questions right now.

haha, hear hear

does the writing section matter at all? if i bomb the writing and do good in rest do colleges want to see me taking everything all over again???

ok:

A: what the HECK is a clipper ship??

B: the confidence/courage one

I think a clipper ship is kinda of a long and skinny ship that can go really really fast. Idk, learned this in U.S history. Correct me if I'm wrong

what was the answer to the Q about the clipper ship? something about aesthetic blah blah

what was the one on the science test where it asked about increased wind speed from 15-19? the bar was the same all across and that wasn't an answer choice! i put increase, then decrease though

i dont remember...i bombed science

I put it decreases because the ratio between the two variables (y/x) decreases ... I can't remember the specifics but yeah... I could be wrong though.

oh lord, this question again. There's another thread that discussed the same question.

Haha, hate science much?

EDIT: Just realized that this is a reading/english thread. Wooooo. I need a break from this computer.
