ACT reading is breaking my bones

MY ACT scores are as follows
math 36
sci 30
english 31
READING 17 <------- NOT A TYPO
How do I get my reading score up?

reading is suuuuuuuper hard omg...

the only way is practice my friend,,,there's no other way

really davidj1126 is right. you can only practice to improve, also, use some of the red book's techniques if that helps. but practice over and over again to see what kind of reader you are. are you a person who only reads the passage once and then tries to answer all the questions? or are you the person who skims the passage and constantly refers back? or are you the one who reads the questions first and then reads the passage? there are a lot of things that you need to knwo about yourself to figure out how to do well on the reading.

good luck!

Me, i go through the questions first, and then i note where those questions are located in the reading. It takes maybe 20-30 extra seconds? The question usually says "in lines xx-xx." I then do my best at speed reading, while focusing on those circled question parts. Never had any trouble with pacing, and have always had at least 1+ minute left. I got a 33 reading and 34 comp. But, this is just my method, it's whatever works for you.
