A question to anyone who got 33+ on the reading section: what strategy do you follow? Do you skim the passage first? Do you highlight and underline stuff while reading? Or do you go to the questions first?
The reading section is the only one on which I cannot get a 36, mainly because I run out of time toward the end and have to rush through the last passage. That's why I'm looking for a different strategy in order to finish the section in less time.

the reading passages are always in the same order. find which one you generally do best in and start with that one. leave the passage you usually do worst in for last

Thanks for the advice. I always leave the prose for last because I find it the hardest, but since I’m aiming for a 36, the order shouldn’t matter - I have to complete every single question, which is why I’m looking for ways to improve my timing.

same dude! ik prose is my hardest too i got a 34 on FEB reading. 16 in arts/literature and 18 in social/science. apparently -1 is still a 36 on the reading section so we must be getting like -4 for a 34 or 33. obviously i have no other tips since we are in the same boat lol

Well, good to know that I’m not the only one. I guess I’ll just practice my reading speed so I can get through the passages faster and have more time for the questions.

First, I go through the passage at a normal speed. Then, as I go through the questions I refer back to the passage, but often, I remember some of the answers from the first read. In that way, I usually get 35 or 36. Granted, I’m a relatively fast reader so that probably helps a lot.

Thanks, that’s basically what I do. I guess I’m just a slow reader. Do you annotate the passages as you read?
