Does a 99th percentile in the ACT mean more/less than a 99th percentile in the SAT? any other discrepancies that colleges look at? or are they truly equal? just wondering!

It means slightly less than on the SAT because it’s easier to get a perfect/ultra high score than it is on the SAT. But it’s definitely not going to be the difference between getting into a school or not.

Those are scores percentally equal to each other from 300,000 people who took both tests.

The answer is no they don’t consider 99 percentile on one to be worse than the other. Too many try to way overthink these things. They don’t sit around arguing about whether a 36 is better or worse than a 2400 or a 99 percentile on one is worse than the other. High scores are high scores and if you have them you are obviously over one hurdle to admission but you also need high grades and other things to be admitted to the high rank colleges.
