ACT/SAT Scores: Have I done something stupid?

Here's my situation:

My SAT Reasoning - 2260 (800 CR, 700 M, 760 W)

This score has been sent to Yale already (June 2008).

I just took the October Subject Tests:

730 - US History
720 - Chemistry
690 - Math IIc

These scores have also been sent to Yale.

I'm taking the ACT tomorrow morning and anticipating a pretty good score. I'm also registered to retake the SAT II's next weekend.

Should I bother retaking next weekend? I know my scores are pretty low for Yale, and I was thinking about marking Chemistry as a major. Should I not do this?

Note: I scored a 5 on both the AP USH and Chemistry exams.

i think your scores are fine as it is. i know people who have gotten in with much lower scores than yours. if you retake, they'll think you're grade-obsessed, trust me.

I fail to see what is so terrible about your scores? They look fine to me. If anything, you might want to consider retaking Math. But there is also a pretty good possibility that you will do a lot better on the ACT than SAT; most people seem to prefer one over the other (I did better on the ACT). SATs aren't necessarily indicative of your profieciency in any subject...your grades are definitely more important.

Update:

I'm not sure the ACT's went very well...maybe a 32. Should I cancel/change the score recipients of today's test? Will sending it make me seem "grade-obsessed"?

Retake the math SAT II, but not the others. You won't look obsessed if you retake something below 700. Check out what the percentile for a 690 is--that's why you might want to retake.
