<p>I do not believe any top 50 schools give out scholarships simply for reaching a certain ACT score; they usually base their merit scholarships off of a combination of factors, including test scores, gpa, ECs, etc.</p>

<p>Actually, many colleges give merit scholarships where your ACT scores comes into play. Usually, in additions to meeting a minimum ACT score (for example, 32 composite), one must also meet a minimum high school gpa (for example, 3.75). </p>
<p>You should go to the specific college website that you are interested in and search for “Merit Scholarships for incoming freshmen”. Most of the information on merit scholarships can be found right on the college’s website.</p>

<p>Many colleges if not most treat the ACT and SAT scores similarly (they convert ACT scores to SAT scores). So the merit scholarships would factor the score in with all the other information such as gpa and class rank. You don’t need to feel that a high ACT score is anything other than a high SAT score.</p>
