ACT Science Tips

Hi! So, I really need to raise my science score. The rest of my sections are in good shape but only science is dragging me down!! Please leave me some tips or some strategies. I already went through 30+ science sections and the result is still no good. :frowning:

Don’t read the passages. Try to figure all the questions out based on the graphs. And of course: do not leave anything blank!

^ I second that, do not read the passages except for on the conflicting viewpoints passage. I’ve brought my science score up 3-4 points just by doing that. I would also recommend finding out what passages are easier for you. For me, I get all of the data representation (typically 5 questions with a graph or two and not much text) done first, followed by research summaries (passages with experiment 1, 2, …) unless one looks really complex/crazy, then the conflicting viewpoints with Scientist 1, 2, …, and if I skipped one of the research summaries, which I usually do because there’s almost always one that I’m clueless on, I do it last.

Just out of curiosity, what are you normally scoring on the science sections?
