My guidance counselor was telling me to just go ahead and take the ACT's this Saturday since I'm having doubts about taking it. I mean, I already took the SAT so I was just wondering what's the point of taking the ACT? Aren't they weighed the same?

If someone does good on their SAT's, does that mean they shouldn't take the ACT's too? Or do colleges like it when you present them with both grades, because I know you can choose not to show your ACT score. My counselor told me if I didn't like my grade the colleges don't even have to know that I took the ACT. Was she lying to me? D:

She wasn’t lying. ACT only reports your best score. Unless of course you apply to either Stanford or Yale, which don’t accept that. They require you to send all.

No you don’t. Unless they specifically say submit any and all SAT and ACT scores. The majority will not require you to send your ACT scores if you prefer not to.
