Is it true...

that colleges don't see every ACT you take and that you choose which one to submit?

If so, how do you tell the ACT people which one you want to use?

Yes, its true, the ACT has score choice, you choose which one you want to send. They give you a list of scores and you just tell them which one you want.

thank you palmetto buddy!

The only exception is if you have all the scores reported to your high school and it puts them on what it sends to colleges.

Wait guys, every time I register for the ACT I usually select 3 colleges that I want my scores to be sent to since the service is free. So is that just a formality that goes into a certain school's giant scores database that no adcom looks at and/or do you still have the option of sending them your highest score when you actually send in your college application??? CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN ACT'S SCORE CHOICE POLICY MORE CLEARLY.

Your help is greatly appreciated.:)

Afraid not.. if you sent them your scores, they will have them and keep them on file. I'm almost positive that -most- colleges will look at them during admissions. I guess it varies college by college as to how much credence they will lend to seeing your bad scores first and then good scores later on. (Assuming your score improves after multiple tests)
