ACT Score Releases

Sorry to ask this when I know some kids are still waiting on their main scores, but does anyone have details on the timing of the writing score? Do they tend to get updated once per week like the main scores do?

My D has had her main score for a week now, but no writing yet. She’s applying EA to several schools and the ACT website won’t let me request to send score reports until the writing score is completed. Her new composite score is her highest, so we definitely want to send these new scores to her schools - regardless of what the writing score is. Two of the deadlines are October 15th and I’m starting to get antsy!

My son still does not have his scores from taking the September ACT. This is his first time taking it, and he’s my oldest, so my question is: when we look at the ACT web site, we don’t even see the test date listed after we click “Your Scores.” It shows the upcoming October test date, because I registered him for that since we haven’t received scores back yet, but it doesn’t even list the September date!!! If I click on Order History, my purchase of the September test shows up there. Is that weird? I’m worried something is wrong. I called about a week ago and said it doesn’t list the September test date and the person said that’s normal but I’m worried something is wrong.

I posted above-this is my son’s first time taking the ACT, and he still hasn’t gotten the scores. When we look at the act web site and click “your tests” or your scores, it doesn’t even list the Sept date. I’m worried there is a problem.

That does seem unusual from our sample size of one. My S also took ACT for the first time in Sept but it showed up in his My Scores before and after, and he is also signed up for Oct.

Sounds fishy.

So next question. All my S has been able to see so far is his score on the website, really just a single page.

Doesn’t ACT send a hard copy paper report or a PDF like SAT that you can get to? I mean I know everyone wants to charge for everything now like analysis of where you need to improve and then sell you the accompanying course, but geez, a little info would be helpful.

We’ve only taken SATs in my family (recently) so I am not sure what all you get nowadays.
