So apparently i got like a 27 without studying lol which is quite terrible. After studying this summer, i feel somewhat confident that i can get around a 33. Just wondering, if I do get a 33 or higher on the next ACT test, would it be red flagged?

Honestly, I think there have been a few cases circulating around College Confidential regarding the “red flag,” which has led to people being paranoid about getting their own scores cancelled. Rest assured - I believe the ACT only has a right to flag a score if there is a 10 point increase within a short period of time (which is impossible in your case since you got a 27 on the first try).

Just do your best and you’ll be fine, even if you get a 36. Good Luck! :)

what is red flagged

@AsianDoctor He’s referring to the fact that such an increase in score can be found as ‘cheating’ under the system :P

how long is the short period of time? I took mine at April and got 21 and I got 32 on September. Would they flag me?

^ That would probably be flagged.
