When Washu looks at your ACT scores, do they look at the highest out of each section if you have taken multiple ACT's?

yes they do

i dont think so
when i went for a visit last summer they said that ACT didnt want schools to do that and they didnt. I am pretty sure i heard this at Wash U. I know Emory said it. They do how ever take the different scores from the SAT.

A representative told me that they did take the highest score from each test; however, this was earlier in the school year, and they may have changed their policy. But if they are smart, which I expect they are, they would understand that the only reason the ACT people do not want them to take the highest score from each category is so that test score finatics will pay to take it over...and over...and over, like many people do.

I heard they take ACT in one sitting and SAT over multiple.

I like that policy (eer...well, i guess i'm indifferent)....the ACT is an easier test IMO. My highest-sitting ACT score is equivalent to my highest combined SAT.

I called admissions sometime in Dec. for a different question on the tests. At that time, the person who called back said they DO combine the highest of each sitting (for the ACT and SAT). So at least as of last Dec. that was their policy per the admissions rep who called me back.
