ACT scores

If I take the ACT and do bad, do the colleges see that score? Can I cancel it or choose not to send the bad score to some shcools?

Also, can I select the highest scores on the different sections to optimize my composite score?

You can pick and choose what schools you want to send it to. The four freebies can be dangerous for this reason, since you agree to send them before you get the scores. Otherwise, you get to pick and choose. It isn't an "every test date" report, just the one you ask for. Upside is you can hide bad examinations (maybe you were sick or just didn't do well the first time). Downside is if you want to send more than one (maybe you got a 36 in one section on one test and a 36 on a different section on the other, and you'd want to show off both), you have to pay for two separate score reports.

No. Most colleges will look if you send more than one score report, but you don't "superscore" and take your best like the SAT. Most just look at composites and don't "mix and match" the best sections from every test date.
