I thought the last page was hard as hell. Guessed on 5

Yeah there were like 3-4 that were really hard… Did nayone figure out the logarthim one? (log (x+a) + log(3x) = log(3x^2 +12x)

what was the answer to the one with the pattern of squares and circles

Thought it was super easy, but I’m naturally good at math. If I missed a question, it was from a dumb mistake. But, I finished 5 minutes early and was able to go over most of my answers (and fixed 1 or 2 careless errors). I got an 800 on the SAT Math II subject test though so don’t assume that it was easy just because I thought it was haha. Science though… Oh my gosh

Im pretty sure it was something along the lines of

5(x + 14 + 12) = 200

Log one was a = -4 if I remember correctly.

I’ll be home on about an hour & can help u guys out with any questions u have then

log(x+a) + log(3x) = log((x+a)(3x)) = log(3x^2 + 3ax) = log(3x^2 - 12x)

-12x = 3ax

-4 = a

What was the answer to m+n = m*n question? And the intersecting circles + angles question that asked what one of the angles was. E was ‘unable to be determined’, to give you a memory cue.

does anyone remember what the last question on the math test was?..

it was either 30 or not enough info for the circle/square/triangle picture

@sanguinee i didnt get it but my friend told me it was -4?

@redsummer12

I know the graph was this…

I completely guess on this one because I was out of time.
I think i put

abs(x-a)^2

Wasnt the angle one 60? It asked for the top part of the whole triangle not the split in half part right?

I put not enough info for the circle/square/triangle picture. Someone else said it was 30. It might be either one of those, not sure which.

m+n = mn could’ve been infinity, 2, or 0 depending on the constraints. I was just stupid and forgot to pay attention to the constraints. I think it said they had to be positive integers, which would leave just 2+2 = 22. I didn’t realize it said positive, though, so I also had 0+0 = 0*0 and therefore I put possible pairs = ‘2’ as my answer.

And brownguy i think it was like |x^2-a^2| cus when x was A then Y was 0

@brownguy! i had no idea on that one. i’m hoping to have missed 5 on the math …

Wait, so for the m+n=mn, the answer is 0 because m and n had to be different right?

@garciac

Im pretty it was half the triangle and the answer was 30. The placement of the side letter caused me to think it was referring to the full triangle too.

@ Brownguy
No, it was the other answer with abs

@HEVYDEVY
No, because it was distinct pairs, not distinct numbers (I think)

@hevydevy:

Yes, I think so, I was just stupid and neglected to see that. I thought it meant that you can’t reverse the M and N and call it a new pairing.

Although if they didn’t have to be integers, it is infinite, but I think it said they had to be integers.
