I gave my second ACT today.
And my math section sucked. I had to guess on about 7 questions. In practice and my last paper, I had finished with 7-8 minutes to spare.
WHAT about science??
I had to guess about 3 there... this paper seemed really very tough!!! Anybody else thinks so???

Are you international? I am (I took it in Turkey) and I thought math and science were a little harder than usual :(

@cellie?
Yes I’m an international student. Could you complete the math and science?

hey! i took it in spain, but i thought it was really easy compared to june! did you have form 68B (english: text about jules vernes, purple bathroom, etc. and reading about tramway,gorillas,etc?

Yep that’s the one!

I completed math and science, but I guessed a few on each English and reading went well though.

The science section was definitely harder than normal. I wouldn’t say math was any harder.

My calculator froze in the middle of the math test and it frazzled me so maybe that’s why I kind of felt it was more difficult this time. Thank goodness I had a back-up.

I was doing well on the Math and English section, but I went downhill from there. For some reason I thought the science was harder than usual. Maybe it’s just because it was my first time taking it. The ones in the official ACT book seemed easier…

I thought it was tough. However, it was my first time taking it. The last 8-6 math questions were tough as a whole. I believe the science section was slightly harder than practices tests I have taken, but not astronomically difficult. Anyone else agree?

Dude I totally agree. First time on ACT. Practice tests for math and science were a LOT easier in the Official Review Book. Very frustrating at the least.

Did any else notice the misspelling of “plane” on the science? They spelled it “plain” multiple Times.

@alexbcn- I had form 67b.
@musicphile- heads up man… I thought the same thing… practice was way too easy… and I had a 35 comp in my last ACT. I was going for a 36. Screwed up math and sci to some extent… hope the curve is generous

Thanks man. I am a smart kid (not being egotistical) , but when it comes to standardized testing, I am fairly poor. 3 SATs and my superscore is 1880. Hopefully you’re right that the curve is hefty. I guess I picked the wrong test date, eh lol?

^Many threads predict that the September curve is the most generous.
How did you fare in your paper? As in number of guesses, and the number you missed and the ones you think are wrong?

so anybody else had form 68B and wants to comment on something? i hope the curve will be generous but i don’t think so, i found it to be easier this time…

^how much did you get in your june one? When did you get the result and did your estimate of score match your result?

I took this in the USA and I found it a little more difficult than the tests in the red Official ACT book. I took the SAT once in May and I got 1870. Today’s test I was hoping to get 28+ after getting 28 twice in a row for my last two tests. The English went well, The Math was fine, the Reading was difficult and the Science was okay. Any other thoughts about the test today?

is 68b the one that has alligator in reading?

It was much harder than usual. I usually finish the whole section but this time I had at least 5 questions to go(unsure answers).

English the usual.

Reading …I always have some problems so I cant say anything ahahha.

Science… A bit harder than usual.

Maybe its because more people say the ACT is easier and it will be changing the whole format to the computer in 2015.

no, i am talking about the one with reading about the tramway, chimpanzees and large-scale photography. nobody??
