ACT - They don't send the self reported stuff - do they?

I am hoping the 4 colleges listed on my daughters ACT test only received her scores and not her self reported GPA which is incorrect? anybody know?

yeah they only send your scores

Actually I called them today and they do send EVERYTHING!!! All the interest inventory and whatever you put as yor last term grades they average together and send as your GPA. I didn’t even put semester averages just 1/4 term grades and for something like your foreign language they don’t ask for several years worth - so the average is way off! You have to mail them a request in writing to have them change it before they send it to other schools and updating your profile on their website is not good enough. This is really pitiful - should have left things blank!

Hmm…I really do not think it matters though. Colleges look at your grades based on your transcript, not what you report to the ACT. I understand your concern, but I am pretty sure that colleges will only look at the scores that ACT sends them…not the “interest inventory”, your self-reported GPA (which isn’t official so colleges will not consider it), or anything else ACT chooses to include. Don’t sweat it–it will be ok :)

i agree… the only part of the score report that matters to colleges are the scores themselves. the other information will be reported in more official ways.
