Hey everyone, I'm a bit confused over the topic of submitting ACTs to schools rather than SAT IIs. At some of the better schools I'm thinking of applying, I have read that 2 or 3 subject tests are required. However, I heard that you can replace this requirement entirely by putting through the ACT with writing instead. I've looked around but can't find a definitive answer. So, can the ACT only replace the SAT, or can it be sent in with the SAT to replace SAT II requirements? Thanks for your help!

Most colleges say that you can either submit the SAT with 2 SATIIs or the ACT (with writing).

However, this may be different for the some of the colleges you plan on applying. The information is right on their websites, so check it out.

What he said.

Go here: [Compass: Admissions Requirements](<a href=“SAT Subject Test Requirements and Recommendations - Compass Education Group”>SAT Subject Test Requirements and Recommendations - Compass Education Group)

That lists in the “require” column colleges which require SAT IIs. If the number in the required column has an * next to it the school takes the ACT in lieu of both the SAT and SAT IIs. If there is no * next to the number you muist still submit IIs even if you submit ACT.
