ACT vs SAT Score

I'm really confused as to which score to send because I got similar (equivalent) scores on both.

I got 680 Math (yikes! Got 800 on Math 2 at least), 640 CR, 700 Writing on the SAT. Total Score: 2020

On the ACT, I'm predicting I'll get 31 Math, 32 English, 34 Reading, and 27 Science. Composite: 31

Any idea which score will look better?

The ACT is very slightly better but basically they are equal. Just wait and see what you get. Most people can’t accurately guess their results.

Wow, I received a 630 math on the SAT but a 32 math in ACT. I didn’t send the latter because I thought it was no better (and I didn’t do exceptionally well on the other sections - 28s, 29s). Did I make a mistake?

I’m not sure if you made a mistake because I don’t know what you got on your other SAT sections, but a 32 math on the ACT is equivalent to about a 700-710 on the SAT

770 writing, 700 Reading, 630 Math (superscore). This is awful…my other ACT sections may have made me look bad, but I received a 32 in the math section I believe. or- a 31.

Your ACT is slightly better, particularly for schools that weight little on writing score.

i would suggest looking at the national percentiles and then deciding. since very few receive a perfect score on the act, scores of 34 and 35 are in the same percentile (99th). so often, it may seem as if your act is equivalent to your act, but you are actually in a higher percentile with your act score.

sat is equivalent to act*

33 is also 99 percentile
