ACT With 2 Subject Tests?

Hello everyone, I could use some suggestions as to what test I should retake in October (a month before the deadlines for ED, probably going for UPenn). So, here's the low down. In May, I took Math II and US History. Wish I prepared more, but with APs I didn't put much effort in and got a 710 in Math II and 750 US. I feel like I could definitely improve on math II with a bit of preparation. I also have an 800 in Chem and a 700 in Bio.

The SAT I is definitely not my strong point in any way. Can barely break 2000, and on my June test I got a 2030, meh. But, I guess something just clicked with the ACT, since I received a 35. People tell me I'm set, but I guess it just feels strange because I never thought I would actually use the ACT as my standardized test.

Now, my question is, in general, do most schools substitute the SAT I + IIs for the ACT, or just the SAT I for the ACT? If the former is true, should I even bother redoing anything?

Go here [Compass: Admissions Requirements](<a href=“SAT Subject Test Requirements and Recommendations - Compass Education Group”>SAT Subject Test Requirements and Recommendations - Compass Education Group) for a list of colleges that require, recommend or consider SAT subject tests. In the required column you will see an * next to the number of tests required for many of them. The * means the college takes the ACT in lieu of both the SAT and SAT IIs. If there is no * then you must submit subject tests even if you submit ACT.

Penn is one of the many that accepts ACT in lieu of both SAT and SAT IIs. You should note that with colleges that accept ACT in lieu of both SAT and SAT IIs, the options are usually distinct – if you submit ACT it will be considered, if you submit ACT with two subject tests the ACT will be considered for admission and not the subject tests. The subject tests are cosidered only if you submit SAT. If you submit SAT and subject tests and the ACT, they will decided which they think is better for you the ACT or alternatively the SAT plus SAT IIs. Also, understand for Penn, which rejects score choice, that if you submit any SAT IIs you are required to send all SATs and SAT IIs.

That was an extremely helpful website, thank you! Can’t believe I haven’t seen that before. but anyway, I guess I’m going to try and improve on Math II then, since I saw some schools up there that I would also apply to that require SAT IIs no matter what.
