I plan upon applying ED to an ivy league school (maybe Yale?) in the Fall and am considering whether it would be appropriate to send my ACT's or take another SAT Subject Test. I received a 720 on U.S. History, which is fine, and I really would rather not take more standardized tests.

Ah, I’m in nearly the same boat as you.
I took the SAT I once: 2320
I took the ACT once: 32 (~2130)

I also have two SAT IIs, but both in science- 720 Bio and 780 Chem.
Now I’m sitting here wondering if I should retake ACTs or take another SAT II.

Also… do you think colleges will judge you based on the gap in scores between ACTs and SAT scores? D:

Oh hey, I saw you on my thread, too! Haha (:

I think I’m going to buy a Ti-89 this summer and work on my SAT II Math II and just go the SAT route. Hopefully Penn will just ignore my weak ACT score and count it as a bad day or something.

As for you, I think both scores are relatively equal. Since Yale asks for only ACT or only SATs, maybe SATs would be better?
A 2300 SAT > A 33 ACT, I think.

dude just take the math II subj test. the curve is so ridiculous. it’s a piece of cake. your SAT score is so much better, idk why you’re even considering sending in your ACT scores!

and then you would have a social studies score and a math score which is even better!!! and good luck on yale that was my DREAM school and i got ~rejected~ ;_________;

…even with a 2340 lol but my essays sucked assssss i think i was like high or something when i sent in the worst ones possible… anywhos DO WELL ON YOUR ESSAYS THEY REALLY MATTER more than ever when people are so neck to neck in their credentials good luck good luck don’t stress yourself out too much!
