Retake the ACT, or attempt the subject test?

I am planning on applying to UPenn this fall, and I'm not sure whether or not I should retake my ACT, or take the Math Level 2 subject test. I got a 32 composite, but a 31 in math for my ACT. I'm also planning on taking the Physics subject test, since I'm already taking the AP Physics exam anyway. UPenn doesn't require the subject tests with the ACT, but they suggest two subject tests if you submit a SAT, which I haven't taken, and am not planning on taking.
Would it be better to try to increase my ACT score in math? (which im sure I could do since its my strongest subject, I'm just nervous about risking my science, english, or writting score) or would it be better just to do the SAT level 2 math subject test with the physics subject test? I prefer not doing both...

I am also interested in the same thing. My son got a 33 composite ACT score on April’s 2013 ACT test. This was his first attempt. He scored 36 Reading, 34 English, 33 Science, 29 Math and 10 on the essay. He said the math was really hard. He has not taken the SAT and has no plans to. He is taking AP Calculus BC and making a low A. In general he does fine in math, but he does not love it and he makes careless mistakes. He would like to think about problems longer than the standardized tests allow. He will take the Biology Subject test. He wants to go premed. Should he retake the ACT to try to pull up the math score or take the Subject SAT Math Level 2 and submit along with the ACT if he can score well enough? He is still deciding which colleges to apply to next year, but he will most likely apply to some competitive ones like Brown and Georgetown. He has a 3.7 unweighted GPA and has taken the most demanding of courses at a good prep school and has great extracurricular activities.

How does the ACT math section compare to the SAT Subject Math Level 2 test?

I think the only similarity between the subject test Math Level 2 and ACT is the trig. part. I regard ACT math a lot easier and less comprehensive than M2.

Thanks toughman. Do you mind posting your ACT math score and your SAT Math Level 2 score? Trig is what my son does the worst on.
