ACT with Essay--Sat Conversion Question

Hi everyone,

So after taking the September ACT, I looked up the score conversion from ACT to SAT scores. Although I wasn't too satisfied with my score, after the essay came out, which I did better than I expected, I saw that the essay has no effect on your composite score. However, I'm sure in some way or another, the essay does help you, right?

For example, let's say someone got a 31 on their ACT. According to some Internet websites, I saw that a 31 on your ACT converts to a 2040 on your SAT. But if you do well on your essay, like you get an 11 or a 12 on your essay, would your ACT to SAT score conversion be higher/lower than 2040? Or would it still stay at 2040?

Thanks for your replies.

that is just a rough estimate, i was at stanford during the summer and heard the recruiter talk, she said the average is a 31 at stanford or a 2100, so just roughly estimate.
my best estimate is
30-2000
31-2100
33-2200
35-2350
