ACT Writing Subscore

Hello all,

I just received my scores from my second ACT test, and I am VERY happy with them. However, I didn't take it with the writing subsection. I have been told, but not able to confirm, that I can take my writing subscore from a previous test and send it in with my best ACT score, regardless of if the college or university superscores. Can someone confirm this for me or give me some more information?

Thank you all in advance for your help!

no that’s isn’t true for MOST colleges. you usually have to do everything on one test day, and then only turn in your best overall score.

Most schools do not superscore ACT. But some schools like Stanford that require all scores anyway. Stanford would look at your best single sitting composite score and your English+writing score from all your scores. However, other schools like Emory would like to see the best single sitting score WITH writing.
