ACT Writing timing mix up

The person monitoring my sons ACT exam today only allowed them 20 minutes fior the writing section. They realized the error after collecting the tests, but is was too late to do anything as some of the students had already left. This clearly will have a negative impact on this section of the test, bit not the other sections.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with type of situation and how it was handled.

Wow… You should write a complaint to the ACT. That’s not fair at all, the worst thing that happen to me was that they didn’t give me a 5 minute break before the writing part, but this is just unfair.

@Ryan33 Worst case scenario they cancel your son’s scores along with the entire class’ which your son was in. If your son thinks he did relatively well on the MC section and decent on writing, I would leave it be.

Write to the ACT. They should invalidate the test and offer a free make up.

@Murtillon‌ We get a break before the writing section? Damn, my monitor done goofed. Whatever, the test is over. Can’t change it now.

@sgballsta‌ Yup.
