ACT Writing vs. SAT Writing

Hello, I'm new to the ACT. All these years, I always thought I would be taking the SAT but recently I've been exposed & discovered that I'm more fit for the ACT.
And I've got some general questions for you CCers.

ACT Writing vs SAT Writing. Can you guys list some differences between them? I'd really appreciate it if any of you will dedicate some time in explaining them.
I know for a fact that SAT writing is more supporting examples from literature texts and your personal experiences.. but I'm not too sure of ACT... [I've been hearing that the Essay Scorers don't read the essays so 2 pages of bs will still get you a 10/12, is this true?]

Oh & plus, are there any ACT study guides for Science? I tried looking for them in Amazon. But I guess they don't have any. Just wanted some input on this.

Thank you so much.. and any comments will be much appreciated! THANKS!

ACT Writing is 30 min - SAT is 25 min
ACT uses relevant topics to high schoolers - SAT uses universal topics
ACT expects one to make a counterargument - SAT does not

2 pages of bs has been a bit exaggerated - I mean you need a qualified position to start. For all we know, the other person may have had a lucky 90 year old man who was on his last test ready to go home.

For Science - try Number2.com or Sparknotes (get an account with both sites)

The ACT is more relevant to topics associated with high school students.
