Okay, I am not necessarily nervous about the writing portion of the ACT test (I can write a good 5-paragraph essay in 15 minutes- probably the only thing I learned in AP English ahah). I am just nervous about the prompts. On the SAT writing I scored a 12/12, but that was because I always think of good examples by using history, science, anthropology, etc.. I was looking through a couple of ACT prompts and they are all about high school, is there any way for me to prep myself for these types of prompts? That is the only part I am nervous about, I can write the essay within the given time, I am just nervous about the prompts!

to me, the ACT essays look like a joke… they’re like those little prompts you were given in middle school. but it is different from SAT essays. i think im just going to write like “what if” examples and things like that… gonna wing it this sat :D

Haha, see I really like the SAT writing prompts because I always use facts! Like this past SAT I wrote about Woodrow Wilson, Teddy Roosevelt, and John Galt from Atlas Shrugged. I have no clue how I am not going to wing this essay without using history, science, anthrolopology, or any type of “factual” references. These prompts do remind me of the middle school prompts and I never knew what to write haha. I wish I could find more prompts…
