Act

I am taking the ACT in February, but since I am a non-native english speaker, I feel like I need to read up on grammar a little bit. I have been living in the US for 4 years, so that has helped a lot, but everything I do is intuitive and sometimes I mess up. Any suggestions about grammar study sources? Thanks!

I would like to know the same thing !

Try asking an English teacher to go through the English sections from a couple of ACT practice tests with you, explaining anything you don't fully understand. And there are probably some good grammar exercises in a 9th-grade English textbook. I'd also recommend reading as much classic literature, academic non-fiction, and good textbooks (in any subject) as you can (newspapers, magazines, popular fiction, and bestsellers do NOT set a good example when it comes to grammar).

I understand everything in the books but I was afraid that, since the English language is not something that you could entirely exhaust in a ACT book, there could be stuff on the exam that I haven't encountered. [one hell of a run on sentence]

Do you think that if I cover 4 ACT books I would be all set?

Hey you should get Cracking The ACT by Princeton Review, they review every rule you need to know for the grammar section. I made flash cards out of the rules to memorize them. This will be easier than going through an entire english textbook.

thank you...

=) you're welcome
