Hey everyone. So I’m applying for UC schools for Fall 2017. In the process of my UC application it had asked me for my ACT score. I took the ACT my junior year and received a score I did not want. Though, during that time I clicked to send my scores to 4 colleges (UC schools) since it was free. Well, I’m retaking the ACT again this October during my senior year and was hoping to receive a higher score. By any chance if I were to receive a higher score than what I received my previous time, would I be able to submit that score rather than my old ACT score? And having sent my previous ACT score to 4 UC colleges will it affect any chances of getting in?
UC’s require all scores but take the highest score from a single sitting. Since you have already sent your first score to the UC’s, just self report the score on the application and when your new score is available, send that score. Lying about the first score would do more harm than a low score.
