all my friends have received their acceptances (more than 9 of them), and i am the only one that hasn’t yet. i’m ranked #2 in my class, both my brother AND sister are current students, and i have been accepted by BU, ND, UCB, UCLA, and UCI.

Don’t want to sound too negative, but I’ve been all over CC today and have yet to see a fall admit today whose status says the decision has been sent. Hope I’m wrong though.

I just got the “acted upon” status today, and I thought to myself, “Well, I’m rejected.” And felt all sad for a while.

THEN, I checked the backdoor link, just in case, and when I went to it, all of my information was filled out, and it was asking things about housing and summer orientations. I heard that means an acceptance!

So not all hope is lost, my friends. There are still acceptances left to be sent out!

Already tried backdoor, not working, sighs.
At this point, I don’t think it’s possible to be admitted with the ‘acted on’ status while none of the backdoors are working…or someone prove me wrong?
Congrats lesliehr!

^ At this point, I actually believe having ‘forwarded’ is a better sign than ‘acted on’. Most spring admits are still on this forwarded status while most rejects were acted on.

It’ll be over in just a day or two…and after that I won’t get to ‘look into the statuses’ anymore lol. Besides, backdoors are a much more reliable indication of admission. Not to say every person who has been admitted has the link working, but clearly all of those who were able to access the links received their acceptance very soon afterwards.

Thanks though, TrojAndrew, and to all of you out there for being so supportive until the very last moment. It’s been an amazing experience with so much warmth and encouragement going around on this forum.

Think lots of different things are going on with the USC admission process all at the same time.

While some of us (like me in NoCal/SJC) got rejected, others may still get accepted. I can say that getting a letter has put closure on this process and I no longer need to “make sense” of the status changes or lack thereof. That was not fun although it did have its entertaining moments.

Yes, I do wonder “why me” now that I am rejected but I do feel that this year more than others, W-GPAs have mattered more than ever. Test scores have as well but not as much. Just lots of qualified candidates in the mix so schools like USC can be pickier than ever.

Happy to have gotten into some decent schools, given all this.

Again, good luck to all of you and may you end up in a decent school like USC. You deserve it!

I really think that everyone’s status changes to acted on at this time. Mine went from forwarded –> reviewed –> acted on (yesterday) and I got my fall acceptance in the mail yesterday.

Clearly, they are not done accepting! I am CLAS/biology major, and I live in CT.

Chelseaaa217…WAY TO GIVE HOPE GIRL!!! So happy for you…and for all those who are checking status to “acted upon”…see there…people do get accepted with that status!!!

I put in my USCID and my birthday and up popped the enrollment deposit form. (Truth is, I don’t know if I am accepted for the spring or the fall…hopefully the fall though!)

Package came today…and it was for Fall, and Annenberg!! My family and I are shocked beyond words…

My USConnect had forever said (up until this week) “Thank you for submitting your online application…” I felt rejection was imminent. Just yesterday, I was “acted upon”.
