I attended the University of Mississippi for 2 years. Safe to say my grades were absolutely horrible and I have an absolutely devastating gpa. I enlisted into the navy and now I’m about to be discharged and I’m thinking of going back to college. My question is would it be possible to go to a community college and do well and then go to a good college such as ucla or usc etc.?
It’s possible for you to return to college via a CC. You may not get into USC or UCLA if your grades from your college were not good.
You have to report any previous schooling and the schools take those grades into account.
USC and UCLA are extremely competitive, so even if your grades were fantastic, there would still be a chance of being rejected. Nothing is guaranteed.
But yes, you can start at a CC and prove you are a new person. You will need to include your prior school grades but they will be considered in light of your time lapse due to serving and your new grades. Good luck
