How long are yours? Is 3 pages too long if none of the activities are fluff? Is 2 pages more appropriate?

…3 pages is way too long. The additional information section of the Common App will also cut you off after 2000 characters.

I can see that it may be too long… but common app DID let me upload the entire activity sheet… and I really cannot figure out what to cut. What length do you feel is more appropriate?

Can anyone else offer me opinions? I have to send in my common app today and I don’t want to bother admissions officers with such a long resume, but should I really cut info if it is important to me?

How much of that is explanation?

If it’s truly an activity list instead of a resume, I imagine you could cut it to 2 pages. If you are having trouble with that, you might be including too much detail. Remember - adcoms are familiar with what happens at MUN and debate tournaments and the like.

My D called her attachment “detailed activities list” and did not include the typical resume stuff like where she goes to school, GPA, scores, etc. She also left off employment since there was plenty of room on common app for that.

Generally, companies and schools prefer it if you could keep it to one page. only include your notable achievements. They have a lot of paperwork to deal with and will definitely not go through a few pages of resume. just send 1 page… a snapshot of your talents. good luck.

Hmm… this is going to be tough.
