ACT's official online prep--Worth the money?

Has anyone tried the ACT online prep that ACT offers directly from their website?

I have considered trying it out but from what I've read on here, its not much better than the book itself. Its probably a waste of 20 bucks. or w/e it costs.

does it have real practice tests?

Yes. It comes with two previously released practice tests. Hopefully they aren't the same ones that can be found in The Real ACT book.

I peronsally only find it useful for the two tests that they give. I thought the diagnostic test would be helpful for me. I thought it was going to give me a score and a list of subjects to brush up on but it did none of those things.

But, it does come with two writing sections that can be scored for you so that is a plus. And two practice tests that are scored for you also. SO overall, it's not too bad.

My school provided us with logins for this program. I thought it was very helpful.

The fact that they questions are specifically from the ACT company makes them very accurate.

There are two full length practice tests. The benefit is that you can pause and save your progress at anytime so you won't have to finish the whole test in one sitting unless you want to. Also you can pick timed or untimed. It tells you what your exact score would be (easier than study books because it is automatic). I believe it gives full explanations for missed questions also.

It gives you specific areas in which you can review based on the diagnostic tests which are not too helpful.

Overall I recommend it!
