So I recently found out that colleges can see what other colleges you add on the FAFSA, and how that can affect if you get accepted. I’m apply to 12 colleges, and I already submitted the FAFSA to them. Can I delete all of the colleges from the list, and resend them one by one to each college so they won’t know the other colleges?
Also, there’s a limit of 10 colleges per submission, so I would have to delete 2 of the colleges to submit all 12, so if I delete a college, they still get the FAFSA information right?
@mhg749 Starting this year, FAFSA will no longer provide colleges the entire list of institutions that a student submits when filling out the form. So, you shouldn’t worry about resending the form one at a time.
“Also, there’s a limit of 10 colleges per submission, so I would have to delete 2 of the colleges to submit all 12, so if I delete a college, they still get the FAFSA information right?” After you submit the FAFSA with your 10 schools, then you need to wait for the form to get processed. After you receive your SAR, then you should be able to delete the first batch and add the others. Based on several threads in CC, the information will stay available to the first 10 schools.
