So I have some activities in my activities section which are camps abroad as well as my own tutoring nonprofit. In additional info, should I put the websites to these camps/service trips as well as my business just in case the admission officer is curious and wants to check it out (and to see if it’s legit?)
Usually admissions officers do not “fact check” because they assume you are not lying on such an official and important application. They also do not have time to fact check everything as they are going through thousands of applications. Use the additional Info space (i think there is a character limit?) to describe these activities or list important achievements in these activities. For example, under your tutoring nonprofit, “started my own tutoring nonprofit business, helped more than 20 students, received recognition in our community, created/coded my own website for the nonprofit.”
It is better to use the character limit to write about what you have achieved under this activity than trying to prove it is legit.
Do not put in websites.
Sorry I wasn’t clear. I meant the additional info section in the writing portion of the Common App that has a max of 650 words. I definitely have all my achievements and accomplishments as concise as possible in the little 150 character space
