right now im checking my bill and i have to pay all these additional fees.
Ex:
Recreation Facility fee- 92
university center fee (whatever that is)- 76.5

what im wondering is next year, when I'll be living off campus, will I still have to pay these fees?
are these fees just for people living on campus, or do commuters have to pay them too, even though theyre the ones least likely to be getting the benefits?

is there any way to petition to not pay these fees? I've never even been in the rec center, so i dont think i should have to pay. besides, a lot of gym memberships are cheaper.

btw, what is the university center fee?
also, why do we have to pay a registration fee if were paying tuition? it's all done online so it's not like they have to put $288 worth of effort into signing us up for classes.

Yeah, I'm a freshmen living off-campus and i still need to pay all those fees. I don't think I've ever been inside any of the recreation facilities on campus.

I think the University Center fee is to fund places such as the LOFT, which I don't think a lot of students even know about. Part from these fees, there are the ICA activity fee and the campus activity fees.

I think it's foolish to have to pay all these fees when many people don't even know about or use the facilities these fees pay for. Sure, you can argue that people can always take advantage of all the things they pay for, but many people living off-campus prefer to work out, exercise, or hang out with friends around where they live. Good for those who make good use of the campus, but some of us who just come to campus to learn should not have to pay things we don't want to use.

the university center fee is the cost for the new price center expansion center. The recreation fee is actually a good deal for using rimac and all the great stuff inside.

Does anyone know how part-time status works? I want to only take 1 class next winter and would rather pay per unit and not the full 3k price for a single quarter
